Power & Energy AI Stocks
Power and energy AI stocks are the companies generating the electricity behind AI data centers: independent power producers, nuclear and small modular reactor developers, natural gas and fuel cell suppliers, generator makers, and storage providers. Electricity is the binding constraint of the AI buildout, which makes this layer one of its most direct beneficiaries.

Frequently asked questions
Why are power companies considered AI stocks?
Because compute is limited by electricity. Hyperscalers now sign multi-gigawatt power purchase agreements years in advance, restart nuclear plants, and contract entire generation fleets to feed AI campuses. That demand shows up as revenue for power producers regardless of which AI model or chip wins.
What is the connection between nuclear power and AI?
AI data centers need large, constant, carbon-accountable power, which is exactly what nuclear provides. Major AI buyers have signed agreements to restart reactors and to back new small modular reactor capacity, turning nuclear operators and developers into a direct beneficiary of AI capital spending. Signed power deals are tracked on the Buildout Tracker.
